is anybody shocked? i experience sleep paralysis, and i have audiovisual hallucinations during such episodes.
- the first bout of sleep paralysis i ever had was in the computer room because i'd taken to falling asleep on the couch in there. the room was washed in blue light from the tv, and i woke up immobile, scared, confused, thinking i was awake...all these things that'd feel familiar by the second time i'd have such an episode. above the door, there was this black, smokelike creature, crouched and coiled up like it was ready to pounce, and it had no real features. and yet at the same time, it did, because it stared at me maliciously. i felt endangered and stuck, like a beast about to be killed, as that thing sat waiting and ominous. eventually i wiggled my big toe with all the strength i had in my body, and i woke up to the room exactly the same as it had been in that "dream," sans wall creature. it was shaped like that one statue of lilith - i wonder if i'd seen a picture of it previously and superimposed its memory onto my sleep paralysis thing? at some point, i want to link a picture of that statue here. the similarity is uncanny.
burst the dream bubble & go back home
